plus sign seperator

Oh, the strange things mod_rewrite does!

plus sign seperator

I have a problem, in that whilst in the course of making a breadcrumb, I need to seperate the words with a + for the database search to work (this is towards the end of the breadcrumb). At the start, the first page is a rewrite that will only work with a - (hiphen) seperating the words.

This gives me a problem with making the breadcrumb work from all pages.

Is there any way of using a rewrite with a + sign seperating the words, because I cannot seem to make it work?

I put a back slash in front of the + to escape, and it seems to work.
