xx.com to xx.domain.com >> URL rewriting

Using a single web hosting account to host multiple sites

xx.com to xx.domain.com >> URL rewriting

Postby relaXx » Mon Oct 15, 2007 6:01 am

I'm trying to set up the following:

www.xx.com is being loaded from xxx.domain.com (that's my main goal and works properly)
Problem is in .htaccess loading the pages with url-rewriting.

Easy part:
So: www.xx.com/index.php?page=contact
Should be: www.xx.com/contact/

Hard part:
The subdomain (the root of the website) in combination with the "easy part" is the problem.

Please help me a.s.a.p.

Regards,
W.

How and where are you doing that?

So: xx.com/index.php?page=contact
Should be: xx.com/contact/

Where are you doing that? Where would you like to do that (before or after xx.com to xxx.domain.com)?

With mod_rewrite? Could you post the solution for others? Thanks.

Well I found out that the problem wasn't the subdomain at all.

It was just the easy part in my question, I found the answer to that on this website a long time ago in another section.
