tld root .htaccess subdomain redirection

Postby BMN » Fri Aug 24, 2007 8:29 pm

hi,

is it possible for a .htaccess file at the top level domain to redirect a 404 subdomain page or non-existent subdomain to a specified page?

For example:
I want a code for the .htaccess at http://domain.com/.htaccess
to redirect user to a specified page if user access a non-existent subdomain or page of a subdomain.

Not unless requests for non-existent sub domains go to the main document root. What happens when you go to a non-existent sub domain?
