mod rewrite incomprehension

Hi,

I have to look at a problem we have with apache rewriting but I don't know anything about mod rewrite. Please could someone confirm or elaborate my interpinterpret what the rewrite condition and rule below does:

rewriteCond %{HTTP_COOKIE} !^.*SESSIONID=.*$

rewriteRule ^/HTTP_UNAUTHORIZED\.html$ http://localhost/Launch.jsp [P]

My interpretation is that if a cookie does not contains *SESSIONID* then 'HTTP_UNAUTHORIZED.html' (if in url) will be substituted with 'http://localhost/Launch.jsp' and this will be forced.
