redirecting /url/sub to .php?url/sub/

New to mod_rewrite? This is a good place to start.

redirecting /url/sub to .php?url/sub/

Hi,

I've had a look at some of the posts here but most seem to be about redirecting specific folder names to query strings, eg:

www.xyz.com/about/12 -> index.php?section=about&id=12

However, on my site I have the following setup:

index.php?articles/php/cms/

and I was wondering if there's a way to redirect to this from:

www.xyz.com/articles/php/cms

The number of subdirs in the query string varies.

I'm new to this and have had a look around at various tutorials but none seem to do what I need.

I was wondering if someone with more knowledge could write a rewrite script that accomplishes the above?

Thanks in advance
davidt
