php mod_rewrite SE Friendly newbie question

Postby serviceinternet » Thu Dec 11, 2003 11:55 am

I guess I am just too new at this. I have seen other posts but am still not sure how I should do this. I would like to be able to create the htaccess mod_rewrite ruls to accomplish the following:

Take urls which look like this:

http://domain.com/index.php?brochure_id=600
http://domain.com/index.php?brochure_to ... on_days=10
http://domain.com/index.php?brochure_to ... _seq_num=2

And make them look like this:

http://domain.com/tour600/
http://domain.com/tour600/duration10
http://domain.com/tour600/duration10/component2

Any help is appreciated

Why, thanks stuWoo...

Care to be a bit more specific? Webmonkey.com is not a small site, and the only articles I could find there did not deal whith this subject in sufficient detail...
