Moving from Windows to Apache on linux How to Lowercase all?

Postby ScottJenkins » Thu Dec 04, 2003 10:34 am

I am in the process of moving from a windows server to an apache server on linux. I have several hundred links on other websites I can not guarntee the links are all lowercase. I have been informed that mod-rewrite is my solution. Can anyone explain where and what I would write in my httpd.conf to tell the pages that all uppercase urls should be forced lowercase. I have been reading the apache docs "http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/mod/mod_rewrite.html" but I am still not making heads or tails of what I need to do. I assume lots of people have come across this type of issue, and that I am probably making it harder then it really is.

Thanks in advance.

I turned CheckSpelling on and it resolved the whole problem.
