Strange Error (appears to be a problem with & symbol)

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to use this code here:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /store/
RewriteRule ^browse/(.*)\.html$ index.php?catagory_id=$1&page=shop/browse [r]

to get this:
/index.php?catagory_id=lalala&page=shop/browse

But instead, i get this:
/index.php?catagory_id=lalalabrowse/lalala.htmlpage=shop/browse

Anyone know why?
