BUG! mod_rewrite in apache /apache_1.3.27

New to mod_rewrite? This is a good place to start.

Normal I use debian ...
apt-get install apache php4 mysql-server php4-cgi
work and work .... and & ready... fine :-)

But now I have a Adaptec aic79xx scsi controller 120MB trasfer on disk..
and debian kernel refuse the card ... only kernel 2.5.53 work in thys controller but 1000 error in kernel compile .... :-(

Now I have install suse 8.1 minimal ...
apache ...

apache_1.3.27

./configure --enable-module=most --enable-shared=max --sysconfdir=/etc/apache/ --datadir=/var/www

configure is ok ...
make ...

--enable-shared=rewrite or --enable-shared=mod_rewrite is the same result :-(


Apache 2 in production server? no tanks....

thttpd - tiny/turbo/throttling HTTP server
http://www.acme.com/software/thttpd/ o super is fast :-) but
mod_rewrite not works ..
