Mod_rewrite and mod_jk

Postby vaga_koleso » Tue Mar 07, 2006 8:28 am

Hello,

has anyone here gotten mod_rewrite to successfully work with mod_jk and Tomcat? I am trying to rewrite a url for a servlet, and while the url is being rewritten correctly (I am sure of this because if I add a redirect flag at the end of the rule, everthing works fine), it's not being correctly handled from that point on. In the various configurations I've tried, one of two things happens:

1. the new URL is being handled by Apache, not Tomcat, which of course fails.

or

2. control passes to Tomcat, but it tries to handle the original, not the re-written url, which also fails for obvious reasons.

At this point I am ready to give up and implement the rewriting in Java, so you guys are my last hope!

thanks for any help.
