New to mod_rewrite? This is a good place to start.

Mutliple files that look like the same url?

I'm trying to figure out if I can use the rewrite module to show different information depending on a subdomain or specific URI directory used. There is a twist though, we want the end result to show the same domain name no-matter which code was used when the url was first entered.

For example:

a user tries to access http://www.mysite.com/code/file.php or http://code.mysite.com/file.php
we want this to show the user file.php specific to that code but change the url (in both cases) to www.mysite.com/file.php. The file will be different depending on which code was initally used. Alternatively, if there is a way to pass the code to apache via a php script(not through the url) we would also be able to do that. We can't unfortunately just pass file.php through a wrapper php script because it leads to incompatibilities.

Anyone out there have any idea?
