please help - list.php?pagenum=0&catid=1

I have read and tried with some people solution in here but it didn't work for me.

I have /list.php?pagenum=0&catid=1 I wanna rewrite the url to /catname.html

ex: 1 = new category then mod rewrite should show /new-category.html instead of /list.php?pagenum=0&catid=1


Is possible to do so? If yest please help me.
