I have an url of the form

/site/index.php?pageid=kjsldkfjsqmdkfhqmsihufskfqsdjhqs

those id's are in a database.

For making the life easier for my visitors (in order to refer to a certain page) I want that when a user types:

/site/goto/thismap

the modrewrite looks up in the database the corresponding pageid so the page can be displayed

You'll have to use a rewriteMap in httpd.conf
