change links automatically

i know how to use htacces and i have my mod_rewrite done very well, i want to have something to change me the links automatically how can i do iT?

for example
the menu says
Something : link : ?s=something
but i want it to be changed automatically to
something : link : someting.html

i can't i have the whole day trying to do it, a friend he changed all his links by him self, but i dont want to do that

Well, you have to... May be you can modify your links with search and replace from notepad etc.
