Matching a fragment identifier

Do you know how to match a fragment identifier in mod_rewrite ?

I'd like to rewrite

Code: Select all

article.php?id=12#456

into

Code: Select all

comments.php?id=456

Any help appreciated.

I just realized what the answer to my question is.
The answer is, it is impossible to do that, as the fragment identifier is actually not received at all by the server!
