Site not correctly displaying 404

Postby rsleventhal » Tue Jul 19, 2011 9:50 am

Hi,

For the most part my site is working well thanks to lots of help from richardk and others here at the modrewrite forums.

I've an issue where, if a php page is appended with ?=somerandomstring and whatever precedes the ?=somerandomstring is a valid page, I get that page instead of the 404, which is expected.

example:

http://www.mywebsite.com/index.php is a page, and displays properly. http://www.mywebsite.com/index.php?=somerandomstring also shows http://www.mywebsite.com and does not throw a 404.

Is there a rewrite rule I can put into place for this or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Thanks in advance,
-Ray
