Removing Original Cached Page (Non user friendly)from Google

Postby mountain_mart » Mon Feb 01, 2010 1:05 am

I have successfully implemented a user friendly page URL to my e commerce site, however Google still has a number of original URLS cached, ie www.mydomain.co.uk/detail.php?id=1234

I am guessing best practice will be to remove these cached pages and rely on the new URL ?

Should the detail.php page be restricted to spiders using robots.txt ?

Thx
